Position

Luigi has been a member of the EY team since 2002

With more than 35 years of work experience, he has provided out-of-court professional assistance to large and medium-sized Italian and international companies on a variety of matters related to IT, internet law, personal data protection, industrial law and new technologies. He has also assisted national and international clients on Data Privacy matters in a number of extraordinary M&A and joint-venture transactions.

Luigi has developed a special in-depth focus on IT law, data security, data protection and in reference to digital signatures, invoicing and electronic document storage.

He holds the position of Data Protection Officer (DPO) for several companies in various sectors.

Career

Luigi joined EY as Senior Legal Counsel in 2002. 

In 2010 he became the Data Protection Leader for EY Italy and the Mediterranean Region.

Education

Luigi holds a JD degree from the University of Torino (Italy).

He also holds an Executive MBA degree fron the SDA-Bocconi business school, Milano

Personal

Luigi is the author of numerous articles on IT law and data protection and regularly lectures at seminars and conferences on the same topic He also participates in numerous national and international events within the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) on data protection and compliance topics. Luigi previously served for two years as a KnowledgeNet Chapter Co-Chair for IAPP  (Milan). Since April 2016 he has been a lecturer in IT law at the National School of Specialization for Corporate Lawyers organized by AIGI (Italian Association of Corporate Lawyers). He was previously a lecturer at the Master's degree course in IT law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'.
