Ursula is Partner and leads the Employment practice group at PwC Legal Austria. She has over 30 years of professional experience and specializes in employment, immigration and social law. She advises national and international companies in all legal matters regarding individual and collective employment law. One focus of her work lies in drawing up contracts of all kinds relating to employment law, checking contracts of employment and works agreements, adapting international contracts of employment to Austrian employment law and providing advice on issues of demarcation with other contract forms.

Her consulting expertise also includes providing assistance in complex severance proceedings in relation to contracts of employment. She has extensive experience in representing managerial staff, from the beginning of the term of employment to its termination.

She represents clients before the courts in employment proceedings and social insurance litigation, in particular in disputes before the employment court in litigation relating to severance and dismissal, and before public authorities during audits of wage-based taxes (“GPLA”).

She supports Austrian and international investors to establish businesses in Austria, and supports clients with transfers of undertakings, the coordination of cross-border mergers, and due diligence. She also advises on questions of employment law in the context of restructurings, large-scale redundancies and the development of collective redundancy procedures (“Social Plans”).

Her clients include banks, listed companies, commercial luxury labels, tourism businesses and newspaper publishers, as well as companies in the automotive, computer and commercial television sectors.

Before joining PwC Legal in September 2018, she was an expert at one of Austria’s largest law firms, where she was a member of the employment law practice in Austria.
