Iurie has 18 years of experience in the legal field and heads the Data Protection practice of the firm.
He specializes in the data protection field, his expertise covering processing employees’ data, building and using databases to support sales and marketing activities, e-privacy matters, data sharing in mergers, acquisitions and winding-up projects, regulatory compliance (including in connection with disciplinary procedures and FCPA audits), data breach regulations, data subject rights, processing and data transfer formalities, archiving formalities, classified information.
Additionally, Iurie leverages his extensive expertise in various fintech projects handled by the firm.

He has been part of the NNDKP team since 2007 and was promoted to Partner in 2022.

Iurie Cojocaru is fluent in English and a good speaker of French.

Iurie Cojocaru is a member of Bucharest Bar and of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Iurie Cojocaru graduated from the University of Bucharest Law School in 2005. He also holds a master's degree in Business awarded by the Bucharest Law School and a master's degree in European and International Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Collège Juridique Franco-Roumain d’Etudes Européennes.
