Valentin Voinescu is a Partner with more than 20 years of professional experience, and Co-Head of the firm’s Banking and Finance practice. He has broad transactional and advisory experience in the financial sector, advising financial institutions and corporations on a wide range of complex finance transactions. Valentin was the lead counsel on multiple premier transactions for the Romanian market, amounting to over EUR 5 billion, in the last five years. Throughout his career, he contributed to the development of a flourishing local syndicated market, regularly advising key local banks on some of the largest and most complex deals in Romania. His expertise also extends to turnaround and restructuring matters, assisting with distressed asset strategies, debt restructuring, and insolvency proceedings. He leads projects involving operational and financial restructuring, representing both creditors and debtors, including multinational corporations, local companies, banks, and investment funds.

Valentin Voinescu joined NNDKP in 2009 and was appointed Partner in 2015.

Valentin Voinescu is a member of the Bucharest Bar. He is also a member and the current president of the Board of Turnaround Management Association of Romania.

Valentin Voinescu graduated from the University of Bucharest Law School in 2004. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the WU Executive Academy (Vienna University).
