Position
Sorina Olaru is a highly experienced litigator with over 26 years of experience in the field of litigation, including mediation and arbitration. She represents and coordinates the representation of clients before the Romanian courts of all levels and specialization (civil, commercial, banking, intellectual property, competition, labour, or administrative), including the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the Constitutional Court of Romania. Additionally, Sorina brings solid expertise in representing clients before the General Court of the European Union (EU Tribunal), the European Court of Justice, as well as the European Court of Human Rights.
Sorina's areas of expertise include administrative and competition disputes, regulatory and licensing disputes, restructuring disputes, as well as complex and multidisciplinary disputes, with multiple claims and parties, involving civil commercial and property recovery matters, intellectual property rights, patents in the pharmaceutical sector, commercial, banking and fiscal law.
She has represented clients before domestic and international arbitration panels, in cases solved under various rules of arbitration (Bucharest Rules of Arbitration, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, Swiss Rules of International Arbitration), in relation to the performance of commercial contracts, privatization agreements, civil construction contracts (including FIDIC contracts).
Career
Sorina Olaru joined NNDKP in 2007 and was appointed Partner in 2009. Prior to joining NNDKP, she was a partner at another Romanian law firm.

Sorina Olaru is fluent in English, French and Italian.
Memberships
Sorina Olaru is a member of the Bucharest Bar, the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and the International Arbitration Association. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2015. She is affiliated with Lex Mundi and World Services Group, being a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups.
Education
Sorina Olaru graduated from the University of Bucharest Law School in 1999.
