Diversity

Since 2014, Herzog Fox & Neeman has been a leader in diversity thought and action in the Israeli legal market. We were the first large Israeli law firm to take a deliberate and systematic approach to promoting diversity, due to our belief that in a competitive talent-based market, a diverse workforce is not only appropriate from a social perspective but primarily a business interest.  We consider our emphasis on diversity to be an extension of our business agenda and values: cultivating skills, providing culturally appropriate service to global clients, increasing capacity for creative thinking, and deepening social commitment to the community at large.

Our Diversity Committee – comprised of department heads, partners, associates, HR and senior administrative staff, and led by Herzog partner Adina Shapiro – regularly meets to discuss, propose, and follow up on the implementation of concrete policies with the continual backing of Herzog's executive committee.  The Diversity Committee sets measurable diversity goals in various areas and has set up sub-committees to focus on specific issues such as diverse hiring and creating an inclusive and equitable firm culture. The committee addresses the promotion the promotion of women into higher executive roles and the inclusion of the Arab, ultra-Orthodox, Ethiopian, people with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ communities in our ranks.

We are committed to investing corporate hours in promoting diversity, conducting internal training for executives, managers and staff, and collaborating with social change associations dedicated to the promotion of minority groups.

In this regard, in 2023, we were proud to receive a letter of appreciation from the First Lady of Israel for our work with the Arab community. In addition, we are a 2-time winner of the Women in Business Award and have received the Dov Lautman Business Diversity Award from the Israeli Forum for Employment Diversity.
