Career

Poliana Gogu-Naum joined RTPR (Radu Tărăcilă Pădurari Retevoescu SCA) in 2007 as a law student and thereafter as a lawyer. Poliana has experience and knowledge in various areas of law, such as banking & finance and general corporate and real estate aspects. She specialises mainly in advising domestic and international banks and borrowers on banking & finance matters, such as corporate finance, leveraged finance and real estate finance. Poliana has been a member of the legal teams which advised several international banks in syndicated and bilateral finance transactions and in relation to real estate projects financing granted to reputed real estate developers and restructuring of the finance documents. Poliana recently advised a syndicate of banks led by Raiffeisen Bank International AG in the context of the extension and certain amendments put in place in relation to Alro financing arrangements of USD 167 million; Česká spořitelna and Československá obchodní banka, in collaboration with Banca Comercială Română on the EUR 66 million financing granted to Azomures for the modernisation of its urea plant; Schaeffler on the issue of high-yield bonds with a total volume of approximately EUR 1 billion and USD 600 million; as well as A&D Pharma Group in relation to the re-financing of their existing bank credit facilities valued up to approximately EUR 127 million, the financing being provided by a club of banks comprised of UniCredit Tiriac Bank S.A. and BRD – Groupe Société Générale S.A. and related security package. Poliana was awarded Rising Star for Romania at the inaugural 2019 edition of Europe Rising Stars Awards, granted by Euromoney Legal Media Group.

Poliana Gogu-Naum is a qualified Romanian lawyer, registered with the Bucharest Bar. She is also a member of the National Union of Romanian Bar Associations.

Education

Poliana Gogu-Naum graduated from the University of Bucharest, Law Faculty, in 2008. Poliana also holds a Master degree in “Business Law” from the University of Bucharest, Law Faculty. Poliana also attended a Postgraduate Private Law Course at the University of Bucharest, Law Faculty, regarding the provisions of the New Romanian Civil Code and the New Romanian Civil Procedural Code.
