Carrefour has recently announced it signed an agreement with Louis Delhaize Group for the acquisition of the local subsidiary that operates the group’s business in Romania under the brand “CORA”. The French retailer retained Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații as legal advisor on this deal.

Bucharest, April 29, 2022: The Romanian Rugby National Team has qualified for the Rugby World Cup to take place in France in 2023, following a decision of an independent panel appointed by World Rugby, the sport's governing body.

MOL Romania Petroleum Products S.R.L. won 7 out of the 13 lots for services spaces leased under concession by Compania Națională de Administrare a Infrastructurii Rutiere S.A. for equipping/fitting out, operating and maintaining the services spaces located on Romanian motorways open to road traffic, on the routes of Nadlac - Sibiu and Pitesti - Bucharest (A1) and Cernavoda - Constanta (A2). The company retained Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii to provide full advisory services in respect thereof.

Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii acted for CEZ Group as regards the divestment of its Romanian assets, namely the electricity distribution assets, the energy supply and an operational portfolio of renewable energy to funds managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets ("MIRA"). The seven companies which are part of the deal are: Distributie Energie Oltenia, CEZ Vanzare, Ovidiu Development, Tomis Team, MW Team Invest, TMK Hydroenergy Power and CEZ Romania.

Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii provided legal assistance to Coca-Cola HBC Romania in the transaction by which the leader of the local beverage industry acquired 50% of the share capital of Stockday, an online business-2-business platform developed by HEINEKEN Romania. The transaction was recently approved by the European Commission.
