Areas of practice
Dispute resolution: the firm is highly rated in heavy commercial disputes and is preferred by clients for its no-nonsense, results-oriented approach. Known for resolving disputes swiftly and effectively, through perceptive strategizing, the firm is unmatched in cases involving commercial injunctions, particularly freezing, tracing and disclosure orders.

Commercial transactions, M&A: the firm deals with national and international business transactions, such as commercial contracts, sale of business, distribution, agency, licensing and franchising. Instructions include cross-border mergers, drafting tailor-made memorandums and articles of association, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, co-ordinating corporate reorganisations and providing legal opinions.

Capital markets and securities: the firm handles the flotation of public companies on the Cyprus Stock Exchange and advises companies on the preparation of prospectuses and on the relevant regulatory framework for the public issuing of securities.

Trusts: the firm is experienced in setting up local and international trusts for family settlements and asset protection.

Immovable property: the firm advises local and foreign clients, including several of the major companies involved in the real estate business in Cyprus, on all aspects of acquisition, sale and securitisation of immovable property in Cyprus, performs the necessary due diligence on immovable properties, drafts contracts of sale and secures the necessary permits for the acquisition of immovable property. Furthermore, it advises on and drafts lease contracts, as well as complicated contracts of land development.

Banking and finance: the firm has a substantial activity and experience in advising banks on banking regulations, bankers’ duties, securities of debts, drafting and reviewing loan agreements, and international credit facilities. The firm has advised the largest banks in Cyprus and has handled one of the most complicated loan restructurings which included the set-up of a complex corporate structure, debt for asset swap, and full debt refinancing.

Corporate structures and tax: the firm handles corporate matters such as the incorporation of Cyprus companies, the setting up of branches of Cypriot and foreign companies, advice on double tax treaties which Cyprus has ratified with other countries and the overall governance of corporate structures. The services of tax advice, tax planning and litigation concern international and domestic aspects of company tax, income tax and VAT. The firm is also involved in providing domiciliation, secretarial and other related services to companies belonging to both resident and non-resident clients.

Intellectual property: the firm handles the registration of trade marks and other intellectual property rights on all levels for national, European and worldwide protection.
