Specialising in the challenges of the digital economy, FÉRAL has been assisting companies, organisations, start-ups and innovation specialists since 1988 with all legal issues relating to the protection of intellectual property rights, digital technology and data in the broadest sense, from the everyday to the highly strategic. The firm has witnessed the birth of IT law, supported developments and revolutions in this sector, and become a key French player in technology law and, more broadly, in the digital economy

The firm has a team of around fifteen lawyers with a range of complementary backgrounds. Founded in 1988 by Christiane Féral-Schuhl and Bruno Grégoire Sainte Marie, over the years it has welcomed new talents, Richard Willemant and Olivia Luzi, who bring a stimulating strategic perspective.

In this way, FÉRAL is able to adapt to all sectors of activity and provide a cross-disciplinary, relevant approach, one that is a byword for forward-thinking and the expert analysis of data and digital challenges.

Characterised by its agility and adaptability, FÉRAL provides strategic legal support with regard to all digital issues.

The firm has a strong and long-standing international presence: FÉRAL is very active at global level and assists its French and international clients worldwide both from its head office in Paris and through its Japan branch, as well as in Canada. In Japan, FÉRAL has formed an alliance with the Japanese business law firm TORANOMON CHUO LAW FIRM.

FÉRAL is recognized by leading legal guides as a “must” in IT and Internet law, and a “leader” in intellectual property, personal data protection and telecoms law.
