Career
Yuval Sasson is a partner in the firm’s Commercial and Litigation Groups. Yuval also heads the firm's Homeland Security, Cyber, Defense and Aerospace (Aviation Law) team, and has expertise in import/export regulation, anti-money laundering (AML) regulation and regulation regarding foreign corrupt practices (FCPA and its Israeli analogue) as well as litigation in such matters.
Yuval represents Israeli and international clients in courts and arbitrations, regularly handles complex international litigation and has vast experience representing and appearing before all judicial instances.
As part of his practice, Yuval advises clients in the course of criminal investigations and in connection with white-collar offenses, including defense offenses, corruption, money laundering, securities-related offenses, antitrust, extraditions and management responsibility.
Yuval also represents technology companies engaged in the development of offensive or defensive cyber platforms and is fully acquainted with the technological background of these industries.
Yuval and his team have expertise in negotiating joint ventures, drafting R&D agreements, executing sale and lease-back and buy-back program transactions, compliance with foreign military financing (FMF) regulations, building consortiums, government-industry alliances, transfer and establishment of production facilities, government tenders, and managing transactions as part of complex government aid packages. Yuval’s experience spans all commercial aspects of this area, including structuring, drafting and negotiating defense contracts, civil and military aerospace issues and homeland security.
Yuval’s expertise includes in-depth knowledge of export control permits and licenses, brokering, anti-corruption and bribery programs, encryption permits, Wassenaar Arrangement compliance, trade issues under Israel’s Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, export bans and legal advisory services on matters related to global humanitarian treaties, such as the Geneva and Hague Conventions.
As a former Deputy to Israel’s State Attorney, Yuval gained extensive experience handling high profile cases involving sensitive security matters. Yuval is a well-known lecturer and commentator on legal and commercial issues related to defense, homeland security, aerospace and military operations. Yuval also regularly advises governmental bodies and agencies on international public law matters.
Yuval is the legal advisor of the Israel Drone Alliance.
