She is primarily involved in corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property law. Kristína has experience in providing legal services to Slovak and foreign clients in company law, regularly participates in due diligence reviews, primarily focusing on reviews of titles to corporate law. She advises clients on matters concerning mergers and acquisitions, as well. In addition, Kristína deals with intellectual property law and provides legal assistance in connection with information technology. She represents clients from various areas of business in court proceedings. As part of her dispute resolution agenda, she represented one of the leading insurance companies in Slovakia in several proceedings.

Lenka Šubeníková is a partner at Čechová & Partners and leads the firm's M&A practice and real estate practice. In real estate, she specializes in project developments, real estate acquisitions and sales, tenancy relations and construction law. In M&A, Lenka represents clients in cross-border as well as local transactions in a variety of business sectors and she also advises on joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and shareholder disputes. Lenka is also a key member of Čechová & Partners' employment practice, advising clients on employment issues in transactions, corporate reorganisations, and on all issues related to companies entering the Slovak market and starting operations in Slovakia, including creating and defining various processes and policies in the field of HR and day-to-day HR issues.  Lenka also represents clients in collective bargaining with trade unions and advises on matters related to trade unions.

Partner. Marek primarily deals with competition law and pharmaceutical law. He is regularly involved in cases of control of concentrations. In the pharmaceutical industry, Marek regularly assists clients in reviewing their distribution models, preparation of contracts with wholesalers, pharmacies, healthcare professionals and other partners, in proceedings concerning reimbursement of medicinal products, review of advertising and educational materials, preparation of contract documentation for biomedical research and clinical trials, as well as in other activities in the area of pharmaceutical regulation and compliance.
Michaela Jurková
Michaela Jurková
Partner. Michaela Jurková is a partner in Čechová & Partners with more than 15 years of professional experience in corporate and contract law. In addition to the aforementioned legal areas, she is primarily involved in project financing and financial regulation at the present time. Michaela is the head of IP practice of the firm, responsible for providing legal services in the area of intellectual property rights, focusing on trademarks, Internet domain names and copyright (including software rights). In the areas of corporate and contract law, she advised clients on transfers of assets and businesses, acquisition and sale of shares and ownership interests in companies, and mergers of companies, including cross-border mergers. A significant part of her legal practice consists of advising clients on financial transactions both on the part of creditors and debtors, assessing, in particular, Slovak law aspects of facility agreements and related collateral to be provided by Slovak entities, including subsequent implementation of documentation. Michaela has advised many clients from the energy sector (electricity, gas, heat) on regulatory aspects of business in this sector and compliance with regulatory requirements, including the preparation of legal opinions on compliance of Slovak law with EU legislation.

Simona is a head of banking & finance regulatory practice and regularly assists to financial services clients active in the fields of banking, finance, trading with derivatives and securities, payment services, collective investment, insurance & reinsurance, etc. Simona is instrumental in advising clients from energy and network industries sector, including areas of nuclear power sector and renewables and leads projects in the area of exploration and production of oil and gas. Simona has gained significant experience in the area of M&A while serving international and domestic undertakings active in banking, telecommunications,  automotive industries, engineering, gambling and private equity sectors. Simona acts as a project leader in asset and business transfer projects and transactions, including corporate reorganizations, transfers of employees and outsourcing projects. Simona regularly advises clients on the various aspects of corporate and commercial law.
Tomáš Maretta
Tomáš Maretta
Managing Partner. Tomáš is an expert in the area of competition and antitrust law. During his twenty one years practice in the firm he has been involved in a number of transactions and was instrumental mainly in antitrust and merger control advice. He successfully assisted to a number of international and domestic undertakings being active mainly in pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive, energy and manufacturing industries, engineering, banking and private equity sectors in connection with local merger clearances. Tomáš has been also providing diverse advice with respect to cartel agreements, bid rigging in public procurement, vertical practices, dominance issues and abusive practices and has been representing clients in cartel proceedings at the AMO and courts. He also advised clients on the various aspects of claims for damages under Slovak law. During his practice, Tomáš also gained significant experience in the area of corporate, M&A and commercial law.
