Career
Martin Krejčí is a partner at Kocián Šolc Balaštík, specialising in banking and finance, capital markets, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions. He is widely recognised for his role in structuring complex financial and transactional mandates involving domestic and cross-border elements, acting for leading corporates, financial institutions, and investors.
He advised Mattoni 1873 on the acquisition of Knjaz Miloš, Serbia’s largest mineral water producer, and on the financing of the acquisition of PepsiCo’s operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Martin also provides long-term legal support to J&T Banka on a wide range of transactions and financings.
He acted for O2 Czech Republic in relation to a syndicated loan and a Schuldschein loan, and advised the ARETE investment and real estate group on the refinancing of 11 companies across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. His capital markets work includes advising J&T Banka, J&T Finance Group on perpetual bond issuances, and ENERGO-PRO on the issuance of Eurobonds.
Martin regularly advises financial institutions including the Czech National Bank, Česká spořitelna, Raiffeisen Bank, Citibank, Barclays Bank, and others on various aspects of Czech financial regulation, structured finance, and securities.
He is consistently recommended by Legal 500, Chambers Europe, and IFLR1000 as a leading expert in banking and finance.
Martin has been an advocate since 2001. He holds law and economics degrees from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague and the University of Economics in Prague. He is a member of the Czech Bar Association.
