Václav Rovenský is a partner at Kocián Šolc Balaštík and a senior expert in energy law, environmental and mining law, real estate, construction law, and public procurement. Since 1996, he has advised Czech and international clients on complex infrastructure, industrial, and development projects, and also heads the firm’s labour law department.

Václav has advised prominent architectural studios, including Bjarke Ingels Group, William Matthews Associates, and Benthem Crouwel Architects, on contracts and project documentation related to landmark projects such as the Vltava Philharmonic, the new headquarters of the Railway Administration in Prague, and Brno’s new central station.

He advised ALPIQ on the financing, construction, and commissioning of coal and gas-fired power plants with a combined capacity of around 500 MW, and ArcelorMittal on the spin-off of its Czech energy division. His expertise also supported a consortium in the first PPP-financed highway construction project in two decades (D4 motorway), covering construction, transport, financing, and procurement aspects.

Václav provides strategic legal advice to private entities, public companies, and international investors on construction, regulatory compliance, CO₂ emission trading, and renewable energy projects including biomass, solar, and wind.

His long-standing experience and deep understanding of regulated sectors make him a key legal advisor on high-value, high-visibility infrastructure and energy projects across the Czech Republic.
