Career

Dagmar Dubecká is a partner at Kocián Šolc Balaštík and head of the firm’s M&A practice. With decades of experience, she is one of the Czech Republic’s most respected lawyers in the fields of mergers and acquisitions and corporate law, advising both domestic and international clients across industries such as energy, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, IT, gaming, and private equity.

Dagmar has played a leading role in many of the most high-profile transactions on the Czech market. Her experience includes advising Skanska on its entry into the Czech market and numerous acquisitions and restructurings, Heineken on its Czech brewery acquisitions, and Mattoni 1873 on its regional expansion, including the acquisitions of PepsiCo assets in three countries and Serbia’s Knjaz Miloš.

She has also acted for clients such as Heidelberg Cement, Bakala Capital, PPF Group, Very Goodies, NIBE Industry Group, GEN DIGITAL / Avast, and Inner Mongolia Mengtai on cross-border M&A and group restructuring. Notably, she advised Dagmar Havlová on the entry of a strategic investor into Lucerna Palace.

Dagmar is consistently ranked by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, IFLR1000, and Who’s Who Legal as a leading individual in M&A and corporate law. She is featured in IFLR1000’s Women Leaders, and has been repeatedly included among the Top 100 Women in Czech Legal Business, where she is listed among the All-Star Experts in M&A, Corporate Law & Private Equity. She has also been named one of the Top Women in Czech Business (TOP ženy Česka) and Significant Women in Law by Právní rádce.

Dagmar was awarded Lawyer of the Year – M&A (Czech Republic) in 2015 by Finance Monthly Law Awards.

She has been an advocate since 1997 and holds law degrees including a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. She is a member of the Czech Bar Association (where she served on its disciplinary bodies for over a decade), and a permanent Czech representative to the International Bar Association, where she holds an officer position in the Corporate and M&A Committee. She is also active in the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
