Position

Tony Fisher is the Executive Chair of the firm. He has over 40 years’ experience in private legal practice. He has an MBA in Legal Practice and is a member of various trade and business organisations. Tony is also a CEDR accredited mediator.

Career

Tony has an MBA in Legal Practice and aside from his commercial work, Tony also undertakes international work and is a member of the Law Society International Issues Committee which focuses on opening up overseas markets for solicitors in England and Wales. He also has extensive experience in international and domestic human rights work and has appeared as an advocate in the European Court of Human Rights on many occasions.

Memberships

Tony has been a Fellow of the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex and is a member of the Human Rights Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales. He also sits on the Council of the Law Society as the representative for the Essex constituency and the International Committee, which oversees the international work of the Law Society, and on the Access to Justice Committee.

In March 2022, he was appointed as the UK representative on a new Committee of Experts on the Protection of Lawyers at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The Committee’s job is to draft a new instrument on the protection of the rights of lawyers in Europe.
