Career

Tara Marlow is a Partner in the Real Estate practice in Dubai. Tara is also the Head of the Hotel and Leisure group.

Tara trained in the City of London, qualifying in 2000, and remained in private practice advising property developers, financial institutions, investors, landlords and tenants on all areas of commercial property and development law, before joining Al Tamimi & Company in Dubai in 2004. In 2006, Tara accepted the role of general counsel of the Hospitality division of a Dubai based hotel development and asset management company.  She established and managed a dedicated legal function, utilising her property development experience whilst gaining in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry. Tara advised on the development, construction, operation and asset management of a hotel portfolio spread across the MENA region comprising approximately 3,500 operational rooms, together with a number of hotel projects at various stages of development.

Tara re-joined Al Tamimi & Company in December 2009 to establish our Hospitality practice, bringing her combined hospitality and property development skills and experience.

Tara is regularly published in hotel industry and legal journals and is a regular speaker at hotel industry and real estate development seminars and conferences throughout the region.  Tara is ranked by Chambers & Partners Global legal directory with Band 2 ranking, and as a Leader in her field.
