Career

Zara studied law because of her passion to help people and make a lasting difference in their lives. She has gained extensive experience as a caseworker and has developed an expertise in a variety of immigration matters including all aspects of asylum claims, human rights , and appeals against deportation.

Zara has previously worked at a charity (Family Lives) as well as the UNHCR focusing on advice and representation on family matters. During this time, she also gained experience as a pro-bono caseworker.

Since joining Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors, Zara currently has a varied caseload in all areas of immigration law of asylum and immigrationwork from the initial application stage through to appeals as well family reunion, EEA residence permits; nationality law as well as applications for permission to apply for judicial review.

She is particularly passionate about Human Rights cases and working with particularly vulnerable clients, and victims of domestic violence.

In her spare time, she likes to travel and volunteer with charities.

Zara graduated from the University of Westminster with a Law degree (LLB (Hons) and completed her Legal Practice Course in 2016.
