Linnéa Djursén new CEO of Foyen

– the legal industry’s only law firm director who is not a member of the Swedish Bar Association

17 January 2017

Linnéa Djursén took over as CEO of Foyen the 1st of January 2017. This makes Foyen the only major law firm in Sweden with a CEO who is not a member of the Swedish Bar Association. In addition, Linnéa Djursén is one of the few women executives in the industry. The goal is for Foyen to be the obvious choice for clients with technology-intensive businesses in need of legal expertise.

Having been Foyen's Deputy CEO and CFO, Linnéa Djursén is now stepping forward to become CEO. Linnéa will thus become one of the few women executives in the industry and, in addition, the only CEO of one of Sweden's 20 largest firms* who is not a member of the Swedish Bar Association. The goal is clear. Foyen wants to create even greater value for its clients and develop the firm as an industry leader in the provision of technology-intensive legal advice.

- I want to contribute to further advancing Foyen’s market position. Foyen is going to be a modern law firm with the market's leading lawyers for major project-related and technology-related law. We will become even better at understanding our clients' businesses and developing services based on their needs, says Linnea Djursén. She continues:

- Our goal is also to strengthen our offering of services in the area of business law. Our current recruitment of four business lawyers from Nyman Rudenstam provides us with an immediate enhancement of expertise in this area.

- With Linnéa as our CEO, we are paving the way for the future of leadership in the industry. She has vast business development experience from various industries and understands our operations well. We are now gaining a CEO who can concentrate exclusively on developing Foyen and, at the same time, our lawyers can devote more energy to what they are best at – creating Sweden’s most satisfied clients, notes John Hane, Chairman of the Board of Foyen.
