Career

Simona has been continuously involved in the field of consultancy, tax due diligence, national and international tax planning, acquiring solid experience in tax matters on corporate acquisitions, extraordinary transactions, including stock market listings. Over the course of time, she has followed important groups operating mainly in the fashion and luxury sectors, gaining specific and in-depth knowledge thereof.

She has also carried out tax litigation activities and, more generally, advisory activities related to the pre-litigation phase, acquiring considerable experience in the discussion with the Offices of the Tax Administration (settlement proceedings, ruling, etc.), as well as in assisting clients during tax audits conducted by both the Offices and the tax police bodies (GdF).

Over the years, she has also dealt with the taxation of individuals especially with regard to cross-border issues and generational transitions, and most recently also with tax aspects related to the management of debt restructuring operations (tax transaction).

She practiced for almost twenty-five years at Studio Associato consulenza legale e tributaria, associated with KPMG International (one of the “big four” – top four audit firms in the world), becoming a partner in ’99.

Since 2017 she was first a partner in the boutique legal and tax consulting firm PBL and then in PLUSIDERS.

Over the years, she has been a member/President of the Board of Statutory Auditors or the Board of Auditors of several major companies/entities, including those with public participation, as well as a member/President of the Supervisory Board of leading companies.

She has been a lecturer on tax issues in university seminars and at LUISS Business School’s Master’s Program for Corporate Legal Counsel, as well as at the “A.C. Jemolo” Institute of Legal Studies.

More generally, she has done in-depth work on complex tax issues in numerous refresher courses and seminars at KPMG.

In addition to some minor publications, she is coauthor of the volume, “Le fondazioni bancarie,” ESI Editions, 2000.
