Partner and Head of the Corporate and M&A Department, Octávio Castelo Paulo is also the Head of the TMT practice (Telecommunications, Media and Technology), being recognised by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 in Band 1.

Octávio is the Head of the Angola Desk of SRS. With more than 25 years of experience, Octávio has been advising clients on domestic and cross border corporate and M&A transactions as well as TMT matters in Portugal and in Angola being a member of the Angolan Law Society.

Since 1999 – Partner of Simmons & Simmons Rebelo de Sousa, now SRS Advogados, responsible for the Corporate, M&A and TMT practices 2003 to 2009 - Partner of Simmons & Simmons, with overall responsibility for TMT in the Simmons & Simmons network between 2007 and 2009 1988 to 2006 – Assistant at the Department of Law, Universidade Lusíada, Lisbon, lecturing various subjects, specifically those relating to commercial law and company law 1988 to 1993 – Government advisor on transport, communications and housing
