Iurii gained extensive experience in senior positions in the civil service, law enforcement agencies, the state tax administration, etc. In particular, until 2001, Iurii worked at the State Tax Administration of Ukraine in senior positions in the Investigative Department of the Tax Police and was Head of the Main Legal Department. From 2001 through February 2002, he was Deputy Director of the Budget Legislation Compliance Control Department of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine. Until April 2008, he worked at the State Committee of Ukraine for Nationalities and Migration as Director of the Department and Deputy Chairman of the Committee and then held the position of Government Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Policy.

Since March 2010, Iurii has been a practicing attorney-in-law.

Public activity

Iurii obtained a Ph.D. in Law with his thesis "Evasion of Taxes, Fees, Mandatory Payments: Problems of Separation from Related Crimes and Accumulative Qualification."

Iurii is the author of many publications and academic articles on the improvement of criminal legislation and the mechanisms of protection of enterprises in different spheres of business.
