Oleksander has been practicing law since 2001 and has been advising clients in relation to financing transactions for more than 15 years. His experience includes advising both lenders and borrowers on various types of loan facilities, including simple bilateral agreements and most complicated cross-border syndicated facilities. His expertise covers due diligence of companies and various assets (land, real estate etc.), reviewing and commenting on English law documents from local law perspective, arranging syndicated secured and unsecured lending facilities to corporates under Ukrainian law, perfecting security and provision of legal opinions to creditors under Ukrainian law.

Oleksander has significant experience in multi-creditor voluntary and forcible restructurings which involve local and foreign creditors and borrowers. He is well recognised as one of the best experts in Ukraine and is currently running several remarkable debt restructuring projects which include local and international creditors. His qualification is proved by impressive list of successfully completed and ongoing restructuring projects.

Oleksander also regularly advises Ukrainian banks on various regulatory issues (e.g. currency control, relations with connected entities, personal data protection etc.).

Before joining Arzinger he was working for 5 years as an in-house lawyer for head offices of leading Ukrainian banks with foreign capital: UkrSibbank PJSC (BNP Paribas Group) and Calyon Bank Ukraine JSC (Credit Agricole Group).

Apart from the finance industry, Oleksander is responsible for the agro-industrial sector at Arzinger and coordinates our lawyers’ work for clients in this fields.
