Andrea Giardini is a Senior Partner of the Firm and works at the Firm’s Bologna office.

 

Andrea mainly deals with commercial law, with particular attention to the maritime, transport and international trade sectors, and administrative law, with particular focus on infrastructure and public procurement law, having gained key experience as legal expert invited to the High Council of Public Works, where since 2011 he has participated in the activity of the Section dealing with ports and maritime works and since 2013 in the sessions of the General Assembly.

In 2014 he was appointed as President of the independent supervisory body (organismo di vigilanza) pursuant to Lgs. Decree no. 231/2001, of a leading company operating in the market of maritime structures and coastal works.

He regularly holds seminars for companies and market players and has taught at several training courses on road transport law on behalf of the Italian Central Committee of the Road Haulage Registry.

He obtained his PhD in European Transport Law in 2006 and is author for national and international law magazines.

As a lawyer, he spent a period studying international commercial litigation and arbitration at the London School of Economics.

Andrea is admitted to the Bologna Bar and qualified to represent Clients before the Italian Supreme Court as of April 2016, having passed the examination held by the Superior School of Advocacy.
