About

The firm

KCNB is a boutique firm based in Stuttgart, the economic and industrial heart of southwestern Germany. For more than 50 years KCNB has always been among the leading firms in the area, advising and representing companies and their owners in company and commercial law matters and the related fields.

KCNB’s clients appreciate its low leverage, partner-focused approach and its competitive edge over larger firms without any compromise in terms of quality. In addition, KCNB offers its clients the benefit of a well-established network of partner firms in other jurisdictions.

KCNB has continued its successful course of adding expertise. While in 2023 Olaf Hohmann, a seasoned, highly respected white-collar criminal lawyer, and Christopher Vogl, a next generation corporate and M&A lawyer with a strong international record, joined the firm as partners, in 2025 Ann-Kathrin Schreiner, an up and coming white-collar criminal lawyer, was made partner.

Areas of practice

KCNB focuses on company and commercial law, including M&A, litigation and arbitration, employment, competition and compliance as well as commercial criminal law. Its expertise covers industries as diverse as the machinery and plant construction industry as well as automotive parts and equipment suppliers and the financial industry.

The work done by KCNB’s lawyers regularly includes cross-border issues, particularly concerning the US, UK, Switzerland, Spain as well as Austria and the Netherlands.

Among KCNB’s clients are machinery and plant construction companies – some of them world leaders in their field – as well as financial institutions. In addition, KCNB has a strong private client practice, focusing on the vast number of family-owned players in south-west Germany’s industry.
