Ilmar- Erik Aavakivi

Being a senior associate at LEADELL Pilv Law Office, Ilmar-Erik Aavakivi's main fields of practice are dispute resolution, property law and general business law counselling. He is also advising clients on various other legal issues, i.a. contract law, personal data protection and defamation law. Since graduating the strategic management master programme (MBA) from Tartu University (2018), one of his key interests has been the interaction between law and economy. He is regularly advising English and German speaking business clients. For more than 10 years he has been member of the management board of German-Estonian Lawyers Union. In the years 2012 – 2015 he was member of advisory board of TAGLaw, an international alliance of independent law firms. The Republic of Estonia has designated him to serve on the Panel of Mediators maintained by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes - ICSID (2017-2023). Over the years, he has often written on law and politics in Estonian press.
