Eda focuses on infrastructure and energy projects, project finance matters, and mining and metals law. Eda has represented both lenders and sponsors in the acquisition, development and financing of many large-scale projects in the infrastructure, energy, mining, health and transportation sectors including high profile projects based on various public private partnership (PPP) models. She is also assisting clients in resolution of disputes as well as competition law, employment law and commercial law matters.

Devrim has substantial experience advising and acting for domestic and international banks, underwriters and other financial institutions, as well as borrowers, issuers and other obligors in all types of banking and finance transactions, including numerous landmark and first-time deals. His practice focuses on debt capital markets, structured finance, debt restructurings, project finance, acquisition finance, capital finance, FI transactions, banking law and regulatory advice, other corporate finance and treasury transactions.

Elif specializes in dispute resolution and provides legal assistance to clients at every step of the dispute resolution process. She has a particular focus on administrative, employment and commercial law disputes in Turkey that also have international elements and represents both domestic and international clients in a wide range of litigation matters. She assists clients in various fields such as construction, power plants, energy investments and wholesale trade. Elif has been involved in a number of significant cases and arbitration proceedings for many high profile clients and has also led several employment disputes at the mediation and settlement stages. She is also experienced in enforcement actions and collection proceedings.

Gülşen primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law matters. She has substantial experience in advising sellers, private equity clients and strategic buyers on complex cross-border and local transactions in a wide range of sectors such as energy, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, telecommunications and information technologies. She has also been involved in the capital and business restructuring of Turkish companies, as well as the drafting and negotiation of shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements and share purchase agreements in high profile transactions. She regularly assists clients in data protection, compliance and complex employment law matters; and advises some of the major players in the payments systems sector.

Mesut Çakmak’s practice focuses on advising clients on local and international commercial and financial transactions and disputes, involving, among others, strategic sectors such as power, oil & gas, mining, transportation, defense and public health. He has represented lenders and sponsors in the development and financing of many major projects in these sectors, including recent large scale PPPs in Turkey. Mesut’s practice also extends to the representation of his clients in mergers and acquisitions, banking and capital markets transactions in the aforementioned sectors. Mesut is also a recognized legal expert in local and international arbitration as well as administrative and commercial litigation. He has represented clients before local and appellate courts in highly complex disputes relating to corporate law, construction law, company law, contractual conflicts, product liability, tax litigation, and regulatory and administrative law matters. Mesut has also represented investors in international arbitrations pursuant to various arbitral procedures, including ISTAC, ICC and ICSID rules.

Naz focuses on domestic and cross-border corporate and mergers and acquisitions transactions. She provides strategic advice to her clients in complex business and corporate transactions. She has been leading due diligence studies and actively advising multinational and Turkish sellers and buyers in various industries, with a focus on the energy, mining, infrastructure and technology sectors, for both domestic and cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures and spin-offs. Naz has also represented sponsors and lenders in the development and financing of a number of major projects in the energy and health sectors (PPP projects).

Mustafa's practice focuses on energy and infrastructure projects, and banking and finance transactions. He has represented domestic and international lenders, sponsors and project developers in the development, financing, construction and operation of a number of large-scale energy, transportation and infrastructure projects. He also advises some of the major players in the payment services industry.

Serap leads the Aviation Practice at Çakmak. She has been representing international aircraft manufacturers, lessors, banks and international financing institutions and airlines for over thirty years. She specializes in corporate and equipment finance, and is widely recognized in the legal profession for her expertise in aviation law and aircraft financing in particular. She also regularly advises on regulatory matters and third party claims. Serap is a regular speaker or moderator at seminars and conferences held in many parts of the world, from Europe to the Middle East, Asia, US and Canada, and has published numerous articles in various publications and books.

Zeynep Çakmak has substantial experience in the representation of lenders, sponsors and developers in a range of project development and financings. Zeynep’s practice concentrates on energy, infrastructure and project finance, with particular experience in the Turkish power and gas market, privatizations, and energy mergers and acquisitions. She is also specialized in administrative law matters, regulatory agencies and administrative litigation. She has lectured on “Basic Concepts of Anglo-Saxon Law” at the Research Institute of Banking and Commercial Law in Ankara as well as “Introduction to Law” at Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences. She has a Ph.D. in administrative law, energy law.
