About

Loosemores is a boutique law firm, based in Cardiff and with a second office in central London.  We have a strong heritage built up over more than 50 successful years. This is allied with a fresh, modern outlook and a commercial approach.

Loosemores was founded in 1966 by John Loosemore (current senior partner Mark Loosemore’s father). The firm was successful and grew significantly during its first 25 years, opening a number of branch offices around South Wales and becoming one of the top ten firms in Wales by turnover. In the early 21st century, the firm developed its specialisms in personal injury, charities and sport and these became a core part of the business.

Mark Loosemore acquired the practice and joined as senior partner in 2016. Under new ownership and senior management, the firm re-focused as a boutique practice with a new strategic plan.

The firm provides a range of legal advisory services to both corporate and individual clients.  Our services for corporate clients include advising on corporate, commercial, property, litigation and employment matters. There is a particular emphasis on growth of the firm’s business in specific industry sectors, notably sport, media and entertainment, charities and technology.

Loosemores comprises a relatively small team of carefully selected, senior lawyers, who are experienced experts in their chosen fields and passionate about their client work.  These leading individuals are ably assisted by a growing team of junior lawyers and support services colleagues.

Our approach is to work closely with our corporate clients, aiming to add real value, as their trusted advisors.  We do so by thoroughly understanding their needs and then delivering high quality specialist advice in a bespoke and personalised manner, with a focus on high levels of client service.

The firm offers corporate clients a range of legal advisory services including: corporate transactions, corporate governance, commercial disputes, employment, intellectual property, commercial property, insolvency and recovery, credit control, partnerships and business start-ups.

Services for individuals include residential property conveyancing, wills, probate, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and employment.
