The firm: Kitromilidou, Psillidou & Co LLC is a dynamic law firm in its 12th year of existence proudly led by Maria Kitromilidou, Kathryn Psillidou, Tereza Pendondgis and Theodora Miltiadou. The 12th year of existence of the law firm has been marked by the moving into our new firm’s offices, a preserved bulding which has been renovated  and it is located in Limassol, Cyprus’ prevailing international business centre. Areas of practice
Corporate/commercial: its services range from routine day-to-day corporate governance/administration and company formation both in Cyprus and in other jurisdictions, to the provision of legal services and advice on complicated cross-border transactions, international joint ventures and M&As, corporate finance, venture capital projects, corporate structuring and tax planning.

Its services include legal services and support for any form of commercial activity between legal or natural persons such as acquisition or sale of assets, products or services.

Banking and finance: customarily acting for major international credit institutions, the services the firm provides range from drafting and reviewing of the underlying loan and security documentation, finance leasing documentation, indemnities and guarantees; putting together various funding programmes, undertaking requisite due diligence and advising on the capacity of Cyprus obligors to enter into financing transactions and also advising on the validity and enforceability of various financing and security documents in the context of financing transactions; advising on the issue of various equity instruments, such as preference securities, hybrid instruments and bonds.

Financial regulation/investment services: it provides comprehensive advice on laws, regulations and practice relating to banking, investment services and activities, insurance, funds and other regulated activities. The services it provides range from preliminary advice on establishment, assistance with licensing applications with the relevant regulatory authorities, requisite ongoing administration and legal support services, specific and customised advice on compliance issues, drafting and review of relevant documentation.

Inheritance/real estate law: it provides legal counsel, counselling and advice on inheritance and estate law matters in Cyprus. The range of services on offer in this field include: legal proceedings and court representation; probate and will realisation; drafting, legislation and safekeeping of wills; advising Cyprus and foreign residents on will contests and estate administration; acting as estate trustee; advising clients on the purchase/sale of immovable property in Cyprus; assignment agreements, preliminary/option agreements, lease agreements; assisting purchasers from third countries with obtaining permission from the council of ministers; representing clients at the land registry and before any other public/government authorities.

IP: it offers a broad range of services including registration and protection of trade and service marks, industrial designs, patents and copyrights of artistic and literary work in Cyprus, Europe and worldwide.

Employment law: the team covers the whole spectrum of employment law issues and has extensive experience in drafting contracts of employment and other related documents, including compromise agreements, deeds of release, notices of termination of employment. The team advises both employers and employees on all aspects of Cyprus employment law restrictive covenants, confidentiality and non-compete obligations, data protection, maternity rights, health and safety at work, discrimination at work, social insurance.

Immigration law: the team advises clients (individuals and corporate) on all matters relating to immigration law, applications for citizenship in Cyprus and other jurisdictions, applications for immigration permits, permanent resident permits, employment permits and visas.

Civil and corporate litigation/arbitration: its civil and corporate litigation and arbitration practice involves a broad range of corporate, commercial and civil matters and includes cases involving disputes between shareholders, breach of contract, fraud, competition, real estate, tax, insurance, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy, banking and commercial torts.

Matrimonial disputes/family law: the team deals with family-related issues arising throughout marriage, including spousal abuse, legitimacy, adoption, surrogacy, child abuse, child abduction, divorce, annulment, property settlements, alimony and parental responsibility.

Bankruptcy and insolvency law: it undertakes companies’ liquidisations proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings of natural persons and other related matters. One of its partners is authorised by the Cyprus Bar Association to act as an insolvency practitioner, under section 10 of the insolvency practitioners law N 64((l)/2015. They act as a liquidator, provisional liquidator, receiver, administrator or examiner under the Cyprus companies law or as a trustee in bankruptcy of a natural person, or to the official receiver.
