Bastien MATHIEU joined Hoche Avocats in 2023. He holds a doctorate in law and has been practicing for more than 20 years as an associate and then partner at FLV et Associés. He advises clients in business litigation and arbitration in various sectors, in particular the agri-food, textile, and industrial sectors, and particularly the automotive industry. Bastien also brings specific skills in distribution law and franchising. Benoît Thirion
Benoît Thirion
Benoît Thirion, partner, joined Hoche Avocats in 2023 to head the Public Law practice. Benoît practiced law for 8 years in the Public Law departments of Hogan Lovells (2010-2013) and Clifford Chance (2013-2017). From 2017 to 2023, he was a partner in the Infrastructure and Services practice of Altermind, a strategy consulting firm. Through his career, Benoît has developed a first-rate understanding and mastery of the strategic and legal issues of infrastructures and associated services (transport and mobility, energy, telecoms, environment services). He has close relationships with many players in the ecosystem of these sectors. Benoît advises public and private clients on all aspects of public law, in respect of strategy definition, project implementation and litigation. He specialises in public contract law, public sector law, regulatory law, environmental law and public competition law. He works closely with the other departments of the firm and in particular with the Corporate/M&A, Business and Trade Law and Employment Law departments. Benoît is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a Master 2 in Public Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon – Sorbonne, as well as the International Certificate in Corporate Finance certificate from HEC. He has taught public law and ecological transition (since 2023) and public contract law (2011-2019) at Sciences Po Paris and digital regulation at University Paris 2 Panthéon Assas (since 2019). He collaborates with think tanks and university chairs, and regularly publishes articles and op/eds in the press.  
Christophe Lefèvre

Christophe Lefèvre has been a lawyer in the tax department of Hoche Avocats since 2001. He was appointed partner in January 2018. His areas of expertise are corporate taxation (operating, group and restructuring), VAT tax audits and litigation. He is a graduate of the DJCE and the DESS in business law and taxation from the University of Cergy-Pontoise … Every year at the beginning of the year, he participates in “Les Rencontres fiscales” (Tax Meeting) with other members of the tax department. This conference presents the new measures of the Finance Act and developpments on french and international taxation. He also participates and speaks at seminars and conferences (KPMG, EFE…). He is a member of the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF).
Didier Fornoni

Didier Fornoni joined Hoche Avocats in 2019. He focuses his practice on market operations (takeover bids, IPO, public exchange offers), mergers and acquisitions for listed or non-listed companies and capital restructuring of listed companies. His expertise also covers the issues related to governance, shareholders disputes as well as stock exchange and acquisition litigations. Didier Fornoni began his career at Clifford Chance, before continuing his career in boutique law firms. Than he was partner in the Paris M&A group and head of the Equity Capital Market (ECM) group of Dentons’ Paris office. Didier Fornoni holds a DESS (post graduate degree) in Business Law and Taxation, HEC Department from the University Paris I Pantheon La Sorbonne.

A tax law specialist, Eric Quentin, is particularly active in advising on taxation of restructuring operations (mergers, acquisitions, LBOs, etc.) and other transactions and has developed special expertise in the area of tax consolidation. His experience includes management of deferred taxes and effective tax rates, as well as assistance with tax audits and tax litigation. He participates in and speaks at numerous seminars and conferences (including EFE, the IACF, the IFA and France-Invest). He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and represents the firm in France-Invest, the French Venture Capital Association (ex AFIC).

Frédérique Cassereau leads the employment department. Lawyer at the Paris Bar since 1996, Frédérique Cassereau advises companies and executives on all aspects of labour law. She assists many companies in both consultancy and litigation (individual and collective labour relations, redundancy) . She provides support to client from the following industries and fields : pharmaceutical, banking, insurance, performing arts companies. Former Secretary of the Conference of the internship (Paris Bar), Frédérique Cassereau is also lecturer at the Sciences Po Paris Law School (SPLS). Frédérique Cassereau sits on a number of boards in the cultural sector, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Assises du Social, the Festival d’Automne à Paris,  the World Monument Fund France Direction and she is Director on the board of the Friends of the Philharmonie.

Hadrien de Lauriston joined Hoche in January 2021 after practicing for nearly 10 years at several leading international law firms. He leads the Restructuring department. Specializing in the prevention and management of corporate difficulties, he assists both distressed debtors in finding solutions to enable their turnaround and other stakeholders (creditors, shareholders, etc.) to best protect their interests in a crisis context. He also has extensive experience in the acquisition of distressed companies, whether in a judicial or non-judicial context, and has been involved in several major cases in recent years. He works closely with other departments of the firm, particularly the employment law and M&A departments. He is a member of the French Institute of Collective Proceedings Practitioners (IFPPC), the French Association for Consular Institutions (AFFIC), the Association of Young Restructuring Professionals (AJR), the French Association for Business Restructuring and Turnaround (ARE), and the International Bar Association (IBA).
Jean-Luc BLEIN

A tax expert by training, Jean-Luc Blein works in the area of mergers-acquisitions and private equity. He has gained additional expertise in the areas of restructuring and reorganization [of the distribution of powers] within groups, as well as in the issuance of complex financial securities in connection with mergers and acquisitions. He also works with the firm’s litigation team in acquisition-related litigation, specifically with respect to shareholder conflicts and warranty agreements. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and represents the firm in France-Invest (ex AFIC French Venture Capital Association).

Jérôme Roustit is a trained tax expert who has developed expertise in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. His experience includes advising managers on the reorganization and transfer of their private assets. He also works for companies in the real estate field (real estate taxation, audits, asset management, transfer and acquisition of real estate portfolios).

Marie Peyrega has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and restructuring. She advises private equity funds, international and domestic corporations on a broad range of corporate finance matters. She also works with the firm’s specialized department in the context of shareholder disputes or post-acquisition litigations (earn-out, price, adjustment, liability guarantees). She is a member of the ESSEC Alumni and a member of France Invest (AFIC).

As a corporate law specialist, Marie-Pierre Souweine has developed specific skills in the areas of corporate restructuring and specifically in mergers, partial contributions of assets and other universal asset transactions, as well as in long term financing operations. She works on acquisitions, transfers and business combinations, as well as on the management of corporate affairs for both listed and unlisted companies. She leads conferences and seminars in her practice areas and has participated in the think tank on The European Company. She is also a member of the Association Progrès du Management (APM) – Club Paris Tour Eiffel.

Mathilde Le Roy joined the corporate tax department, as a partner, in November 2022. She mainly advises French and international groups on the day-to-day tax management of their activities, their restructuring operations, their foreign establishments and during tax audits. Her expertise includes LBO transactions, notably cross-border ones, whether for industrial clients or investment funds, on both due diligence and structuring aspects, in coordination with local partners where appropriate. She also assists executives in the structuring of their professional investments and their compensation (in France and abroad). She is a member of the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF), of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and of the International Bar Association (IBA).

Régis Carral is Head of the New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT) and Intellectual Property Department. Régis gives lecture on IT, internet and intellectual property in France and abroad, and is a lecturer at “HEC” (School of Business Studies) and at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris”, (National School of Mines of Paris) for students seeking a Master’s degree specialised in management of information systems and technologies.

Soazig Préteseille is a partner in the firm’s employment law department, which she co-manages alongside Frédérique Cassereau. She joined Hoche in April 2024. Soazig advises French and foreign companies on all aspects of employment law, both as counsel and in litigation. She advises clients on individual law (recruitment, redundancies, combining employment contracts with directorships, etc.) and collective law. In particular, she has developed strong expertise in restructuring and social plans, negotiating collective agreements (especially working time agreements) and complex mass litigation. As a result of her career, she has extensive knowledge of international mobility issues. Soazig has worked for major French and Anglo-Saxon law firms in a variety of sectors. Her clients are mainly international industrial groups and banks, as well as companies in the telecoms and new technologies sectors. Soazig is a member of the Paris Bar and speaks French, English, German and Romanian.

Solène Delafond assists French and foreign companies, both listed and unlisted, as well as their shareholders or the management team, in complex strategic litigation, mainly in commercial, financial, or corporate matters. In particular, she is specialized in post-acquisition litigation and disputes related to governance crises. Solène Delafond regularly pleads before civil and commercial courts. She joined Hoche Avocats after having created her own law firm and after having worked for eight years with the business law firms Rossi Bordes & Associés, then Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier.
