Cristina is a partner with MPR Partners LLP, London and a technology and privacy advisor to our Bucharest office. As former senior member of the legal teams of major telecom companies and of the Romanian telecom regulator, Cristina possesses vast experience regarding the telecom and technology industries. Such is her reputation in the TMT space that she has been repeatedly interviewed by national Romanian TV channels and other mainstream media channels on matters related to these industries. She equally has widely acknowledged data privacy acumen, having acted as DPO for one of the largest telecom companies, formerly part of Liberty Global group. She is part of the European Data Protection Board ”Support Pool of Experts” List and she has been bestowed Lexology’s Client Choice Award for her Data Protection expertise for two years in a row (2022 and 2023).  She is also Deputy Chair of AmCham Romania’s Data Protection Task Force and a member of the Board of Directors of the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce. Her solid background in the in-house departments of major corporations helped her gain valuable experience and skills in dealing with corporate clients, in which capacity she provides advisory services in data privacy along with technology and telecom relevant industry practices, as well as specialized advocacy and business strategy in TMT regulatory matters.
