For the second

year in a row, Maravela|Asociații was awarded by Ziarul Financiar, the local

leading financial and business publication, during The Lawyers’ Gala, event

that recognized the law firms involved in the largest transactions of 2017 and

the first part of 2018.

Maravela|Asociații

was awarded for the involvement in the largest and most important FMCG

transaction (namely the sale of Betty Ice to Unilever). Equally,

Maravela|Asociații was nominated for a second largest FMCG transaction (the

sale of Nordic Petfood to United Petfood) and for one of the largest

transactions in the chemical industry (the acquisition of assets from Oltchim,

by Chimcomplex).

This year’s

award reflects the high specialization of Maravela|Asociații’s lawyers

regarding M&A transactions, the team having been coordinated by four of the

firm’s partners (Gelu Maravela, Alina Popescu, Dana Rădulescu and Alexandra

Rîmbu), having a broad experience in specialized areas, such as banking &

finance, competition, capital markets, distressed businesses, as well as niched

segments, such as pharmaceuticals and healthcare, chemicals, infrastructure,

energy and natural resources etc.
