Mr. Göçen graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration (English) in 2006, obtained his double degree from Istanbul University Law School in 2008, and his master’s degree (M.A.) with his thesis entitled “Competition Review of Privatizations in Turkey Under the European Union Competition Policy” from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences Department of European Union in 2010. He is among the very few Turkish lawyers who hold a CPA license. Mr. Göçen has advised several leading local and foreign corporations operating in real estate, energy, tourism, FMCG, mining, cosmetics, media and automotive sectors starting from their incorporation. He also represents clients before courts in tax, administrative, rental, zoning and commercial lawsuits. His fields of expertise include competition law, corporate law, intellectual property law, contract law, M&A, real estate, rental and tax law. In recent years, Mr. Göçen, has been working on legal auditing, institutionalization and restructuring projects of family holding companies, representing the company or the dominant or minority family members in disputes between family member shareholders together with Mr. Güzeldere.
