Bert is the Managing Partner at Argo. His professional focus is on private equity, capital markets, corporate law and M&A. He has considerable expertise in public and private M&A, asset sales, rights issues and issues of financial instruments, company law, joint ventures and other shareholders’ agreements. Bert brings to the team specific expertise in private equity and real estate investment companies (‘REITs’). Bert has authored a chapter in a Belgian company law book. The Legal 500 notes that Bert “combines excellent legal skills with common sense”.

Hannes Casier

Hannes Casier is head of Argo's private client group. He advises high net worth clients and their family businesses on a variety of Belgian and cross-border wealth structuring issues.

Kris Verdoodt

Kris is a Partner in Argo’s Corporate M&A practice group. He has years of experience and expertise in M&A, acting frequently for private equity firms. Kris is also regularly involved in the set-up of management incentive and participation schemes, joint venture structures, real estate M&A and fund structuring.

Nico Goossens

Nico Goossens is a Partner at Argo. Nico specializes in capital market operations (initial public offerings, public takeover bids and public to private transactions), corporate finance, venture capital and private equity, mergers & acquisitions and financial services regulations. He brings expert level skills to the team on both transactional and advisory practices as well as a long-standing, highly appreciated litigation practice experience, primarily focused on corporate litigation.

Philippe Rens

Philippe Rens is a Partner at Argo. While his professional focus is on tax law in general, Philippe has gathered significant particular experience in corporate, personal income tax, registration duties and VAT. Philippe is also heading the fund structuring department whereby he assists private equity, venture capital and other investment funds with their set-up from a legal, tax and regulatory perspective.
