Dispute resolution precedents: EQUITY’s team has acted for clients in two landmark cases in the Supreme Court of Ukraine which resulted in new precedents in insolvency matters.

In one case, the Supreme Court upheld EQUITY’s reasoning and ruled that the court may not adopt a formalistic approach in assessing the facts and taking a decision on the commencement of the insolvency proceedings.

In another case, the Supreme Court upheld EQUITY’s reasoning and confirmed that the central bank had unlawfully declared one of Ukrainian banks insolvent.

Acquittals in WCC cases:

• acquittal for the Ukrainian ex-Minister of Infrastructure in the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine.
• acquittal for high-net-worth individual in 4 WCC episodes.

This has confirmed our outstanding experience in white-collar crime matters, given that acquittals constitute only 1% of the decisions in criminal proceedings.
