The firm: Bakowski Law Firm was founded in 2007, bringing together the long-term expertise of its partners acquired in the biggest American, British and Polish firms in Poland and Brussels. The firm has quickly grown from four lawyers to ten lawyers and is a well-established law firm advising on some of the biggest and most complicated transactions, particularly in real estate, TMT, telecommunications and new technologies.

Through the years it has assisted in the construction, development, letting and sale of several commercial and office centres and numerous residential developments. It advised on the development and operations of production plants, road and railway construction companies, coal mining and trading companies, renewable energy projects and telecommunication projects.

From its establishment the firm has advised several investment funds and venture capital funds from the UK, US, Luxembourg and Poland, particularly active in real estate, infrastructure and project finance, as well as trade companies, IT companies and companies from the new technology sectors in their operations, regulatory issues and disputes in Poland.

The firm successfully represented its clients in real estate reprivatisation and compensation for property taken over by the State in Warsaw and Poland.

The firm assisted in numerous mergers and acquisitions, acquisition of shares in privatised State companies, preparation of IPOs, creation and management of investment funds and advising companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
