Position

Rutger Lambriex practices in the area of international commercial and corporate law. Rutger is the Corporate and Commercial Law Leader of HVG Law. HVG Law is part of EY Law in more than 70 countries. Rutger is also the Global Corporate and Commercial Law Leader of EY Law. Rutger leads the EMEIA OME team of EY Law, and in that capacity he is responsible for the legal operating model effectiveness and supply chain practice. Rutger has extensive experience in advising global clients on  international company and corporate law matters in a multi-disciplinary context. Rutger’s specific area of expertise is the legal design and implementation of multi-disciplinary restructuring projects for multinational clients, with the focus on integration projects, legal entity rationalization, supply chain projects and  operating model effectiveness.

Career

Rutger first joined HVG Law in 1999 and previously worked for the Dutch legal practice group in New York in 1999-2002. After two years at Royal Dutch Shell plc, he rejoined HVG Law as a partner early 2006 to become the managing partner of Donahue & Partners LLP, the New York office of HVG Law. He returned to the Amsterdam office in 2012.

Rutger was first admitted to the bar in the Netherlands in 1992 and is registered as foreign legal counsel with the New York Bar.

Education

Rutger graduated in law from the University of Amsterdam in 1991. As art of his studies, Rutger studied English law at the University of Warwick for one year. After completing his law degree at the University of Amsterdam, Rutger earned an LL.M. in International Economic Law at the University of Warwick in 1992.
