The firm: MARSIGNY GOSSET AVOCATS is an independent practice which is fully dedicated to criminal law. It provides assistance to both French and international clients – natural or legal persons, States and institutions – in the face of all criminal jurisdictions in France, as well as in internal investigations.

It also supports its clients in complex international proceedings, involving the main foreign and international penal and regulatory entities, including (in particular) Interpol.

The practice has a national and international reputation, and has distinguished itself for its ability to handle the biggest criminal proceedings characterised by complex legal issues, which are heavily publicised and / or have important stakes.

Areas of practice: MARSIGNY GOSSET AVOCATS assists its clients in preventing criminal risks and acts in litigation, internal investigations and international proceedings. The team also advises on white-collar crime affairs (breaches of probity, securities law, tax, employment, consumer, healthcare, etc.), in the context of prosecutions following major disasters, as well as in general criminal law matters relating to offences against persons or property, press law and civil rights. The firm’s lawyers regularly appear before both ordinary and specialized courts.

They regularly work with other lawyers to form defense teams on cases requiring thorough knowledge of the inner workings of the criminal justice system.

Experience: The team has acted in several highly visible cases, including, among others, the Concorde crash, the Madoff case, the Wagram Circle case, the Médiator case, the Brétigny-sur-Orge rail disaster, the alleged embezzlement of the Eurodisney Works Council, the so-called “ill-gotten gains” case (also known as the “biens mal aquis” case) involving France and Equatorial Guinea, the disappearance of the Interpol President, the Balkany case, the ENI-SAIPEM/SONATRACH case, etc.
