The firm: UEPA is an independent full-service law firm based in Prague, founded in 2006 by two partners who had previously worked in large international law firms. UEPA has since grown from three to 25 lawyers and since 2018 has three partners.

UEPA has the largest German-speaking team on the Czech legal market and provides legal services in Czech, Slovak, English, German, Polish and French.

The firm’s main practice areas have always been corporate and M&A, real estate and construction, commercial, employment and litigation/arbitration. Over the years, UEPA has added compliance, insolvency, IP, public procurement, renewable energies, finance and data protection capabilities to its repertoire. UEPA also advises on Czech trusts, which are basically an asset protection vehicle.

UEPA’s partners have been active on the Czech market for the past 24 years, working on high-profile corporate and real estate transactions. Many of UEPA’s clients have been benefiting from the services of the firm’s employees since the 1990s.

All of the firm’s partners and a number of its lawyers have significant working experience in international law firms. UEPA also assists its clients in neighbouring Slovakia and has an excellent network of professional contacts in other Central and Eastern European countries that the firm can rely on, if the need arises. The firm increasingly also advises Czech and Slovak companies with their business activities abroad in co-operation with local lawyers with the necessary expertise.
