About

Established back in 2018, Meysan Lebanon swiftly gained recognition as a leading and highly esteemed law firm in Lebanon. Our inception was tied to the rapid expansion of the Kuwait-based Meysan law firm, which has emerged as one of the most successful legal entities native to the Middle East.

Our team of lawyers specializes in navigating intricate transactional matters, a caliber typically associated with large international law firms. We often assume the role of primary transaction counsel, distinguishing ourselves from others who primarily handle local counsel mandates. Our clientele spans a diverse spectrum, encompassing international corporations, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, and private individuals.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

We frequently represent clients in a variety of deal sizes and complexities, garnering a strong reputation for our adeptness and efficiency in managing a wide array of business combinations and sale transactions commonly encountered by private enterprises.

Capital Markets, Corporate/Commercial, and Banking and Finance:

With extensive experience across equity, debt, and hybrid instruments, our firm advises clients on regulatory compliance, corporate governance matters, and the ever-evolving governmental regulations impacting capital markets activities.

In recent years, Meysan Lebanon has been involved in a multitude of cross-border corporate transactions, guiding clients through financing transactions and significant capital markets deals. Our legal experts regularly assist clients in navigating the intricacies and potential challenges in corporate transactions, facilitating successful deal closures.

Furthermore, our lawyers offer valuable insights into Lebanon's currently volatile banking sector, enabling us to provide enhanced services to both local and international clients across various conventional financial practice areas, including asset finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, workouts, and projects.

Bankruptcy and Restructuring:

Our team has earned distinction in bankruptcy and restructuring matters:

  • Serving as lead counsel to The Sultan Centre during the bankruptcy proceedings of its operations in Lebanon, one of the country's largest cases.
  • Successfully representing Agility in litigation against IBL Bank in Lebanon and Korek Telecom Limited, resulting in findings of fraud against the defendants. Additionally, advising on DIFC litigation against a Korek director, resulting in a $75 million award based on fraud.
