Dispute Resolution partner Tapio Väätäinen has acted as a counsel in several landmark civil litigation and corporate crime related proceedings, as well as in many complex arbitration procedures and has over 20 years' experience in this field. Tapio has also acted several times as counsel in the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

Tapio has extensive experience in disputes relating to the civil and commercial law aspects of contracts and agreements, corporate disputes and disputes relating to insolvency and financing. He is also experienced in various kinds of liability and tort issues, and has e.g. successfully represented clients in liability cases involving boards of directors and auditors. Tapio’s expertise in white-collar crime defence has been utilised in investigations and in the subsequent criminal proceedings. Tapio has, by Finnish standards, rare expertise in niche areas such as aviation law and anti-dumping regulation and related proceedings. Tapio has also acted as an advocate in director and employment contract related proceedings concerning termination, reward and malpractices. He advises clients also in compliance-related matters.
