As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility (“CSR”), diversity and inclusion (“DI”), Acar & Ergönen has recently launched a new programme called AE+, which aims to contribute to the society and the environment that we live in and to strengthen its inclusive and diverse culture. Acar & Ergönen targets enhancing its CSR and DI activities under AE+ to show its clients and team that it is much more than just being a law firm.

Corporate Social Responsibility.

Acar & Ergönen is aware of its potential social, economic, and environmental responsibilities, and keenly implements the CSR for a positive influence on the society and the environment.

Pro-Bono Work. Acar & Ergönen has always been conscious about its social and economic impact on the society, and therefore it has been rendering legal services free of charge to those economically less advantageous since its incorporation. Furthermore, Acar & Ergönen also gladly provides legal consultancy services to and sincerely advocates for Gıda Kurtarma Derneği.

Internship Opportunities for Law Students. The founding partners of Acar & Ergönen gained their very first legal experiences while they were law students, and therefore Acar & Ergönen gives utmost importance to contributing to the professional development of law students. Each year Acar & Ergönen hires at least one student as an intern to assist the team, and thus to get familiar with the legal practice.

Scholarships for Law Students. Acar & Ergönen believes that everyone should have equal access to education, and therefore it has been providing merit and need based scholarships to law students to enjoy their education in cooperation with Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği.

Environmental Contribution. Acar & Ergönen feels responsible for making the planet a better place for future generations and has started to track its environmental impacts to be able to take solid measures. Acar & Ergönen is in the process of working with an NGO that will help the firm to (i) measure and manage all the data that has to go in to managing the firm’s environmental footprint, and thus (ii) adopt new practices to reduce its carbon footprint.

Equal gender distribution is reflected to all positions at the workplace, and accordingly %60 of the partners, %60 of the associates, 50% of the legal interns and 50% of the administrative stuff are women.
