Career

Chris qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in July 2023 and made the move to Dubai one month later to join ADG Legal as an Associate in the Dispute Resolution department.

Chris completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Sunderland and was awarded First Class Honours. In the process, Chris was also awarded the Ede & Ravenscroft Prize in recognition of being the highest-performing undergraduate student in Law.

Chris returned to the University of Sunderland to undertake a combined postgraduate degree in Legal Practice and a Masters of Law. He graduated with a Distinction.

For his Masters, Chris explored the extent of discrimination amongst Solicitors, the Bar, and the Judiciary throughout England and Wales. The sex discrimination chapter of his Masters dissertation titled ‘The Legal Sector is yet to deal with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010’ was published in the UoS Law Journal.

Throughout his time with ADG to date, Chris has worked on a variety of matters – ranging from high-value cross-border litigation to Arbitration proceedings both internationally and inside the UAE. Chris is also involved in the firm’s contentious and non-contentious Construction practice.
