The firm: De Castro & Strasse is a leading law firm specialised in criminal law, founded on 3 July 2015 by François De Castro and Julia Stasse.

The firm also acts in civil and commercial litigation, and based on the shared values of its founders, it provides a service to all company directors, no matter what size the company.

With a high reputation for their professionalism and shared ethical and professional values, François De Castro and Julia Stasse put their skills at the service of their clients on a long-term basis.

François De Castro has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2002, after having been an auditor for the Transparence Group and then part of the legal management team of the Vinci Group. He began his career as a lawyer with the Kiejman & Marembert law firm, and cofounded the Temime & Associes law firm in 2008.

Julia Stasse has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2005. She began her legal career with the Temime & Associes law firm, where she became a partner in 2011.

On 1 January 2017 they promoted Laureen Kraftchik, a member of the Paris Bar since 2007, to the rank of partner. She began her legal career with the Gutkes Avocat law firm and joined Temime & Associes in 2011.

The team is now made of up three partners and three associates.

Areas of practice: De Castro & Stasse dedicates its activity to criminal law, notably economic and financial.

With experience gained over several years in Temime & Associes law firm, François De Castro and Julia Stasse have an excellent knowledge of criminal procedure. The firm is also active in criminal health law, criminal labour law and criminal property law.

François De Castro has acted in numerous high-profile criminal cases such as Afer, Marionnaud, Cercle de jeux Cadet and Mediator (for whom he has represented Laboratoires Servier and some of its executives for several years). With 25 years of professional experience and skilled in both law and accountacy, he is a valued partner of company directors and enjoys the highest of reputations in his field.

For the last ten years, Julia Stasse has been perfecting her skills in general and business criminal law. She also acts on a regular basis in litigation involving criminal law in the fields of real estate, construction and labour, and deals with litigation involving the press (defamation, privacy and online reputation).

Laureen Kraftchik acts principally in cases involving general criminal law and in the fields of business, health and labour, and cases of indemnity claims for personal injury. She has gained expertise in international criminal law (including the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda), acts for LICRA (the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism), and is also a member of their “Reflexion” legal sub-committee.
