Mr. Hussain Al-Huraiti is a former Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait and a supreme court lawyer who has over 30 years’ experience in both Kuwaiti and International  laws. Mr. Al-Huraiti’s expertise lies within penal, civil, and administrative fields.

Mr. Al-Huraiti worked as a Judge, Legislator, Minister, and Lecturer before engaging in the advocacy profession.

Judicial Field: Al-Huraiti joined the judicial field in 1987 as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and resigned from his post as a Judge in the Technical Bureau of the Supreme Appeal Court in 2006; to start a new journey in the legislative field and to be elected as a Parliament member. Legislative Field: Al-Huraiti was elected as a PM (Parliament Member) for three consecutive terms 2006, 2008 and 2009 respectively. Executive Field:Thanks to his vast legal experience and knowledge, Mr. Al Huraiti was appointed as the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait in 2008 (the only elected MP in the Cabinet at that time). Educational Field: Al-Huraiti worked as a lecturer in Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, where he used to provide lectures to the newly appointed deputies public prosecutor.
