Mark has over 25 years’ wide-ranging experience in structured finance including securitisation, structured loan products, trust structures, loan portfolio sales and acquisitions and real estate finance. He regularly acts for banks, private equity firms, building societies, originators, issuers, servicers and special servicers, facility and security agents and trustees in relation to UK and cross-border transactions.

Mark also advises clients on loan portfolio sales and acquisitions (including distressed portfolios) and his securitisation experience is extensive, with a particular emphasis on areas such as commercial real estate and residential mortgage loans, auto loans and trade receivables.

He also ensures clients are kept up to date on the raft of new financial regulations since the financial crisis and has been instrumental in creating new capital efficient lending structures for banks.

In recent years, Mark’s practice has expanded to cover a wide range of FinTech financings and he has become a trusted adviser to a large number of companies in this market. A number of Mark’s transactions have been shortlisted for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards.
