Career

Jean-Philippe Monmousseau has an experience in the legal profession of over 17 years, including 11 years as a tax lawyer in the Luxembourg market, and has as such a broad and in-depth expertise in all relevant fields of Luxembourg tax law as well as a solid knowledge of the Luxembourg legal and tax system generally. He advises all types of clients on both domestic and international tax issues and specializes in tax structuring, transactional and financing taxation as well as tax reorganizations. He assists clients of each industry sector on all types of direct and indirect tax issues, including transfer pricing and Lux GAAP considerations, in relation to their business, with a special focus on private equity and real estate.

After working several years as an in-house lawyer in France, he pursued his carrier in Luxembourg in a reputed accounting firm (big four) and two top tier law firms (including the biggest independent law firm in Luxembourg) as tax advisor and tax attorney respectively before finally joining Hogan Lovells in May 2016 as senior tax associate.

Jean-Philippe also regularly gives external tax trainings as tax instructor for professionals of the legal business community (IFE, Kluwer), and is also lecturer at the Lorraine University (France).
