Ruud van der Velden has 15 years’ experience in multi-jurisdictional patent and trade secret litigation. He litigates before all courts in the Netherlands and the European Patent Office. He represents companies in all technological fields, with a particular focus on high tech and life sciences industries. Ruud has an excellent track record in complicated cases. Examples include obtaining a cross-border patent infringement injunction at a time this was considered impossible, successfully enforcing a second medical use patent that was revoked in almost every other jurisdiction, and seizing pivotal evidence in a logistical warehouse in the Netherlands in absence of a patent in force in the Netherlands to secure injunctions in Germany.
