Career

As a partner in our Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects practice, Emma Clarke focuses on infrastructure finance, public-private partnerships (PPP) and project finance, infrastructure mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and fund financing transactions, advising primarily on the financing aspects. She brings over 20 years of extensive experience to her clients across sectors as diverse as energy (renewables including wind and waste, as well as gas and electricity), water, transport (roads, rail, ports), and accommodation (health care). She has acted on some of the largest and most complex deals in the international and domestic infrastructure market.

Her clients are drawn from across the spectrum of infrastructure market participants including sponsors and borrowers, commercial banks, multilateral lenders and other financial institutions, and government agencies. She has helped clients solve a range of financing challenges in particular deals involving bank, bond, and hybrid financing structures. As well as advising clients on a wide range of financing solutions across the infrastructure, PPP and project finance, and infrastructure M&A space, Emma also has experience of advising parties on on-going finance contract management issues and restructuring/refinancing under-performing and distressed infrastructure debt.
