Jamie Rogers is widely recognized for his extensive legal and commercial knowledge in the reinsurance industry.

He routinely deploys this acting on a broad spectrum of contentious and regulatory matters in the sector. As the author of Lloyd's Market guidance on this subject, Jamie is an expert on the application of financial crime legislation – he is the key contact for anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and economic and trade sanctions advice. He has also acted on a number of investigations in the sector, both on trade and other regulatory/conduct matters, frequently involving multiple regulators and jurisdictions. Jamie's contentious practice also focuses on claims advice and coverage and agency disputes across various classes of reinsurance business. This includes transactional insurance where frequently advises on warranty & indemnity and tax insurance arrangements.

With deep operational experience gained from working in-house at major brokerage and underwriting institutions, Jamie also advises on all business-as-usual operational legal matters for reinsurers and brokers alike. This encompasses advising on the regulation of insurance in the United Kingdom, the structure and drafting of policy wordings (as well as non-traditional reinsurance structures), distribution and commercial arrangements, as well as other agreements common to the sector. Having spent significant time in the market, Jamie also advises on the conduct of business at Lloyd's.
